Dr. Weiru Chen is professor at Alibaba Business School. He was Chief Strategy Officer of Cainiao Smart Logistics Network Ltd. (“Cainiao Network”), leading strategy planning and industry development research for Cainiao Network.
Dr. Chen received his Ph.D in strategy management from Purdue University in the United States. Prior to joining Cainiao Network, Dr. Chen was a professor of strategy at INSEAD and China Europe International Business School, with expertise in innovation strategy and digital transformation. Dr. Chen has published bestsellers including Platform Strategy, Platform Transformation, etc. He has been selected in the Thinkers50 Radar List as the “world management thinkers most likely to shape the future of how organizations are managed and led.”
