Sophie Desier is Head of Europe within the International Relations Directorate at la Poste Group France since 2019. She has 17 years’ experience in the postal and logistic sector including 7 years at Asendia (Joint Venture E-commerce Cross Border SwissPost/ La Poste Group) and 5 years in Marketing and Innovation Department within the Letters and Parcels Branch. She launched the social proximity service “Visit my parents realized by the postmen during their delivery tour” in 2012.
She also worked at Reliv International Inc (micro nutrition sector) as Head of European Distributors Network in 2013-2016 and at France Langue Biarritz as French teacher for foreigners during 2 years. Multilingual skilled Sophie speaks fluently 4 languages.
She holds 2 Masters one in Linguistics from Universidad Autonoma Madrid (Spain); the other one in International Relations from La Sorbonne Paris III (IHEAL) She recently passed a certification in Strategic and Economic Intelligence (IHEDN, Paris) and she followed successfully also trainings related to the management of European Funding’s. For a 3 years period 2022-2025, she is co-chairing PostEurop Innovation Forum along with Thierry Goillard (SwissPost) and Carlos Bhatt (CTT Portugal)
PostEurop (the association of European postal operators based in Brussels) launches every year an Innovation Award Contest in June to valorise the innovation actions co-built by its members and the European start-up ecosystem. The award Ceremony takes place during the annual General Assembly in October.
