Mark Lincoln joined Pearson in March 2018 as the Global Supply Chain Director for Supply Chain Process and Solution Design. His remit is to ensure all necessary end to end Supply Chain functionality is embedded into systems and workflows as Pearson embarks upon a period of industry leading transformation.
Until recently, Mark was heading up the International Logistics and Customs transformation in Kingfisher, where Brexit was often near to or at the top of the agenda. Prior to that, Mark also set up a Global Customs Compliance function during his 3.5 years at Cambridge University Press.
Mark has spent his career entirely in the Supply Chain and Logistics sector, initially starting out on the supplier side as a Graduate Trainee with A.P. Moller Maersk and going onto spend 17 years with the group in a variety of UK, European and Global management roles, including 5 years at Maersk’s global headquarters in Copenhagen.
Mark has since gone onto to have senior management roles on the client side of Supply Chains in organisations large and small and across a number of industries, including Retail (with Kingfisher), Publishing (Cambridge University Press and Pearson), Manufacturing (Sealed Air) and FMCG (MPM and Westland Horticulture). In addition to 5 years as an expat in Denmark, Mark has travelled widely, with business assignments in China, USA, Europe, Mexico and Brazil.
