Senior Vice President, Network Operations, FedEx Express

Lisa Lisson is the Senior Vice President Network Operations for FedEx Express. In this role, Lisa leads a team of more than 40,000 employees across the U.S. that ensures safe and reliable operations across major air hubs and ramps, including oversight of properties, vehicles, ground service equipment (GSE), and network health and service quality. Her current role is an expansion of her previous role as SVP Ramps, Hubs, Ops Control and Global Service Quality Assurance. Just prior to that, Lisa was SVP & President of FedEx Express Canada. Joining FedEx Express in 1992, Lisa rose from an associate marketing specialist to become one of the U.S. and Canada’s most influential transportation executives. She has become a renowned public speaker in the U.S. and Canada for her revealing discussion about becoming the first woman and first Canadian president in FedEx Express Canada history. The sudden passing of her husband at a young age, raising their four children as a single mother, while building a successful career has enabled Lisa to acquire many insights and advice that she shares with her audiences with openness and frankness. As the president of FedEx Express Canada, Lisa led the largest era of infrastructure investment in FedEx Express Canada history, including the modernization of a domestic air fleet, the development of new service centers across Canada, introduction of new, innovative shipping solutions, and an expanded national retail network. Under her leadership, FedEx Express consistently ranked highest among all transportation companies in Canada on leading published reputation indexes. According to Leger’s annual Reputational survey, FedEx Express Canada was awarded the top spot within the shipping industry. Further, FedEx Express Canada was certified as one of the Top 50 Places to Work in Canada by the Great Place to Work as well as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Women, Best Workplaces Managed by Women, Best Workplaces for Inclusion, Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness, and Best Workplaces for Giving Back. Lisa is an inductee to the American Marketing Association- Canada’s Marketing Hall of Legends and the Women’s Executive Network’s Hall of Fame as one of Canada’s most powerful women. She was a member of the Business Council of Canada, IWFC Toronto Chapter along with The Prosperity Project™ and is also one of 13 Diversity 50 CEOs. Lisa is also a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of her achievements and work in the community. Lisa is passionate about access to quality healthcare for all children, in 2013 she joined the Board of the SickKids Foundation and in 2021 Lisa also joined the Board of Trustees for The Hospital for Sick Children. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons), University of Guelph.
