Gerrie brings 30+ years of experience in transforming and innovating logistics companies and processes with IT. Since 2022, he oversees the postal and logistics sector in Europe for TCS with a specific focus on business transformational engagements.

Before joining TCS, Gerrie worked for PostNL, the last 8 years as CIO for the Parcels & Logistics division. In this role he led the division through a cloud, agile and digital transformation whilst the parcel volume tripled at that time from 500.000 parcels a day to 1,5 million parcels a day. He combined this with a corporate responsibility for Cyber Security, being the acting PostNL CISO at the same time.

As part of his CISO role, he was co-author of the advice report for the Dutch Government “Keeping dry feet in the digital era”, that was presented to the Dutch Prime Minister, Mr Mark Rutte in October 2016.

Earlier in his career, Gerrie worked for Descartes Systems Group as Vice President Supply Chain Visibility in Canada and the Netherlands, and as Senior Business Consultant with CMG (now CGI). Gerrie holds a master’s degree in mathematics as well as an executive master’s degree in logistics management.
