The logistics expert Franz Leitner began his professional career at the express delivery service trans-o-flex, where he was responsible for quality management and logistics planning. He worked for Planlogistik GmbH before joining Austrian Post in the year 2002 where he rebuilt the Logistics Information Systems Department. He served as Managing Director of feibra, the advertising materials subsidiary of Austrian Post, in the years 2008 to 2019.

In 2019 Franz Leitner returned to the corporate headquarters of Austrian Post. The economics graduate is now in charge of the Logistics Centres & Transport business unit.
