Aku Happo is a co-founder and CEO of Smartmile. He founded the company in 2016 together with Frank Van Os (NL, ex-VP PostNL/TNT) and Steffen Luippold (DE, IT entrepreneur). Today Smartmile has its headquarters in the Netherlands and operates in Finland and Germany. Smartmile co-operates with retailers, couriers and postal operators and is growing rapidly.

Prior to Smartmile, Aku was a start-up entrepreneur and new business builder through his own consultancy company Proventuri; prior to that he worked more than 15 years at Posti, Finland. He was Vice President of eCommerce and Vice President of Parcel Business at Posti. He was the main initiator when Posti built its parcel locker networks and started consumer-driven business models in Finland and Estonia in 2010 and afterwards.

Aku has an MBA from Henley Business School, University of Reading in UK and a BBA from his hometown, Kajaani, Finland. He lives in Espoo, Finland with his wife and son.
