EXECUTIVE ROUNDTABLE

Mastering complexity to win more contracts

How LSPs can differentiate themselves by evolving from logistics partner to strategic enabler

25 June | 11am BST | 12pm CET | Online

Shippers are demanding more from their logistics partners than ever before, and they have no shortage of providers willing to promise it.

According to the latest survey from Blue Yonder and B2B International, retailers outsource six different services to LSPs, but only 50% of those retailers view LSPs as a strategic enabler. Faster fulfilment cycles, volatile demand, more demanding requirements, tighter margins and supply chain disruptions continue to raise the bar for what retailers expect from LSPs. The capabilities that once set an LSP apart are now entry-level requirements in an increasingly competitive market. Winning contracts, and holding onto them at renewal, demands something more.

The LSPs meeting that challenge aren’t just executing better – they’re operating differently. Rather than passing complexity back to the client, they’re absorbing it. Rather than reacting to problems, they’re anticipating them. And, rather than running existing operations, they’re helping their customers design smarter ones. The shift from logistics partner to strategic enabler has become the defining competitive battleground, and the LSPs making that transition are pulling clear of those that aren’t.

This roundtable brings together senior LSP leaders navigating these shifts to examine what it takes to master complexity, deepen customer relationships, and win more business in an increasingly competitive market.

Welcome and participant introductions

Discussion:

  • What does the shift in customer expectations actually require of LSPs, and how big is the gap between where LSPs are today and where their customers want them to be?
  • Managing multi-client complexity: how can differentiated services be scaled without compromising service levels and profitability?
  • Achieving end-to-end visibility: how are LSPs meeting the expectation for real-time transparency across complex, multi-client operations, especially during disruptions?
  • Where are intelligent agents and real-time recommendations delivering measurable impact on SLA performance and exception handling?
  • Evolving the relationship: how do you move from transactional to strategic, and what does this look like in practice?
